Cuz it's spelled "Worcester".......lol!!

I'm from the Southshore myself, and IMO if you don't mind doing covers exclusively I guess it wouldn't be that bad. Personally that's really not what I'm into, so my opinion of the scene around here is very low indeed. Here there really isn't anyplace to play original stuff.

I lived in the Tampa area in the early 90's, and to there's no comparison......the Tampa music scene destroyed the scene around here.

BTW Bones, if you're bringing that funky looking ESP up here, maybe we can do a local deal.....I got some interesting trade bait.

Just so you know how to pronounce it! The surest way to spot an out-of-towner.

..besides wearing a UF Championship t-shirt or saying "y'all" you mean?

Is it pronounced wuh-ster?

uberthrall, just shoot me a PM of what you think might bait me on the ESP.

Tampa used to be the speed/death metal capital for years just like Jacksonville was for southern rock. I am interested in playing live and earning $ while doing it so I don't mind playing covers. I wish I was going up there at a better time in the year but this is how the chips have fallen, so Boston in the winter I come.

Re: Boston area questions

Just to correct you all, its actually Woosta

Their is no "shhh" sound in it, thus no "H".

Sorry, I get kinda defensive over my home town pronunciations.

I hear ya. I hear all kinds of pronunciations of cities/towns around my state. It does seem that nearly none of the names are pronounced how they sound in your neck of the woods.

I'll be there in less than 2 weeks.

Go be with your woman dude if she is one of kind then go for it. Besides you'll love Boston lots of good shows pass through here like I said. If you love your metal YES WOOHSTAH has the New England Metal fest that usually happens in the spring time. There is alot to do here when baseball season is in seriously get your tickets and go to a game. Just to experience being at Fenway. I can go on and on about Boston with the good and the bad.

Wow, I never would have thought that. I would have actually pronounced it "War -Chester" and looked like an idiot.

Woosta is 58 miles from Wakefield, where I'll be staying/living but I'll guess you can jump on a hwy and get there fairly easily, right?

I can't wait to see Boston, never been. I REALLY can't wait to see me Sweetie!!!
