Re: Boston area questions

An update is in order it seems for this old thread of mine. I haven't had a computer set up for many months which is the only thing keeping me away these days from Jemsite:

I am still living in Wakefield, MA working at the first non-music related job I've had to hold in nearly 7yrs, a bakery (TIMETOMAKETHEDONUTSTIMETOMAKETHE..!). I have been able to do some sub-teaching guitar lessons over the summer but still need to build my own student base. I have been rehearsing with a band in Lowell, MA and have had some kicks with it but still aren't out playing like I did back in FL, just as Rich said might happen. I coach two music workshops at a local rehearsal space rental facility called Jamspot here in town (http://jamspot.com/join.html), which is actually a really cool place to be connected with so I've found. I listened to and hung out with the J.Geils Band when they were there to rehearse for their big sold out show opening for Aerosmith a month ago @ Fenway Park (no I didn't get to go to the show, I was out of town). They were there rehearsing for about two weeks. Cool guys and a very good band and probably the coolest thing that has happened since I've been here.
Now with everything I've said so far I haven't said anything about the woman I moved up here to be with, for good reason. Things just didn't flow between us like we expected, in fact it became flat out sh!tty, too bad, I really liked her. We finally broke it off a couple weeks ago.

Now that brings me to today, with no family or real connections up here anymore, I am considering pulling the plug and heading back to friends and family in Florida. Kinda say I'm a bit homesick and ready to see familiarity in people and places. They can keep the not-too-far off frigid winter, did the last one and froze my arse off! Still considering hanging around up here but leaning very heavily on a southbound I-95 trip very soon.

I'll post more when I get a chance. Hope everyone is well and know that I miss my Jemsite friends in a big way!

~Bones

Hit the road. She's the only reason you moved there to begin with. Then send me her number, but I'd keep it an LDR. The only thing I need in Boston is the Clam Box in Ipswich!

That's a bummer, man. I'm sorry things didn't work out, sometimes they just don't.

I guess now is probably the best time to get going, because it will start getting cold there soon.

Re: Boston area questions

You wouldn't want to get involved with her on any level Rich, she is trouble, which starts with "T" and rhymes with "P" and well...let's just say trouble.

I am leaning towards moving back right now but I have given myself a few weeks to be rational and not make emotional decisions, otherwise I'd had already left here if that was the case.

If I don't get on the road in the next 4-6 weeks I would wiser to wait until winter breaks. I will update when I get figure it out. Thankls for the kind words Adam. PEACE!
