Christmas gig
Not really much of a gig, but some seniors from Asiaworks have invited the Teen Training members to this Christmas party on the 28th of December. I'll be playing, so I think it would be cool if I would play some Christmas carols. I'm going to play some overdriven guitar, blues-funk style (assuming that it doesn't mock the Christmas festivities). What carols do you guys think would be cool to play? There are about 50 of us in a group, but I'm assuming only 20 will show up, so they could be the carollers. Help will be vary much appreciated.

Awesome! Holly Jolly Christmas, Winter Wonderland, Rudolph, Frosty, etc. You can go to a
local music store
and buy some books fairly cheap, at least here you can. Have fun at the Christmas gig and let us know how it went.

Re: Christmas gig
Thanks. Unfortunately, since stores here in Malaysia don't have those type of books, I'll have to learn them by ear. I grew up listening to carols during Christmas back in England. It will be tricky, but acheivable.
What do you guys think of 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. That particular song was the one I listended to a lot. I may even do it 'rock-opera' style with my buddies.

As soon as I read it, I had it playing through my head like a cross between Bohemian Rhapsody and Meatloaf. Absolutely awesome idea.

That's what I thought in the beginning. Alas, I don't have the chops.
Besides, everyone will enjoy the party even more by listening to some good ol' Christmas songs.

No can do bro. Ever since Powertabs went down I've only got Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas and Joy To The World. Don't worry, I'll funk Jingle Bells up a little.
