jamfest midwest? :)

with successes like jemfestUK and jemfest texas, any thoughts on a north/central, midwest spinoff 'fest? if anything, just a get-together for a concert/jam? just tossing ideas in the air... 8- )

I've been seriously considering hosting a "Jemfest Midwest" in September, in lovely Battle Creek. Not sure if there's enough interest though...

Mostly a jam session and hang out time.

:-)

battle creek in michigan i'm assuming? or iowa? nebraska? or the one in virgina or colorado? ...i think the best spot for a midwest deal would probably be chicago. plenty of things happening around there, its central to midwesterners, and has a sweet aquarium!!

plus, we could take the pilgrimage to Aurora

Yup, Chicago would be cool, but I have no contacts there to set anything up. Chicago has a cool aquarium and observatory down by the waterfront, and the museums there rock too.

I still think having a get together in Cleveland would be cool, cause we could all go stare at the Green Meanine in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The only reason I suggested my home town is if I'm going to be hosting it, it'd be nice to have a place to hang out and party. We've got out share of cool stuff here, but not nearly as neato as some larger cities. The Kalamazoo AirZoo is worth the trip alone if you love vintage warbirds.

And I'm all for the side trip to Aurora, I've got season passes.

What about St. Louis? hehe
I´m from Germany BUT in August I´ll come to Chester IL for one high school year. Chester is about 60 miles from St. Louis I think.
