I'm just on the train back from the jam and there's a high pitch ring in my ears.
Meeting everyone was really cool and all of you guys play way better than me. Way better.
Great bunch of guitar dudes and going to this jam further reinforced a suspicion I've had for a long time.
Guitar players are the nicest people ever.

There were many people taking photos and I hope that we'll get to see some of them when other people post here.
Paul(Pablo), Clive(earthman), Pete(welshpete) and John(Ving) did an excelent version of "Green Tinted Sixties Mind".End to end.

It was great.
So much rock.
You can ask yourself how much more rock could this have been and the answer would be NONE.
None more Rock.

Dammit! that was me on 'green tinted'!

That was a very cool way to spend a saturday!
I was the worst player there, but in a collection of such great players it's not the worst thing to be!
Paul is a speed demon! master of shred insanity!
Everyone there was really cool, and put up with me even when i was feeding back and didn't know it was me! (simon-why doesn't the volume knob on your JEM work??! )
Clive has the best beard in the world, and James has very cool hair!
Simon is a brilliant bloke-thanks for organising it all, had a great time. The guy(sorry, am terrible with names... ) with the ESP custom who came in about 3 is a master at speed metal licks, cant wait to see you play at Jemfest.
All in all, a great time was had!

Monday morning and back to work...oh yeah

After a nice early start to the day (up before 9 on a Saturday?!), and a smooth driver over to Leyton, myself and Clive then managed to arrive at the studio about an hour and a half late, thanks to a collective lack of navigation skills

The Jam was great fun, but I think I played more drums than guitar! With so many great guitar players there though it gave me a chance to sit back and listen to everyone else play. Muchos widdling did ensue!

Sorry I didn't make it out in the evening, by the time I got home and unpacked all the gear I was knackered

Good to meet you all...looking forward to the next session!

Great great bunch of blokes!

Paul and I travelled down on the Friday, drooled over some guitars in Denmark St. and had a great time out on the town with everyone on the Friday night. To be honest I had too much of a 'great' time and was suffering a bit on Saturday .

The Jam on Saturday was great fun and my there was some flashy playing going on. Big thanks to Simon for inviting us back to his flat for food and some Fast Show/Python Vids. Ta for the cuppa too .

Having met some great Jemsite folks I think my lurking days are over and will endeavour to post more!

P.S I have some photos of the day that I'll get posted up sometime tonight.

Mark.

well, a good weekend was had by all i think.

Good to have met some new faces as well as some regulars.

Friday was a fun start for me, having been out the night before and only got to bed at 7am....

Still, i legged it into london and met Paul and Mark in the fox mid afternoon for a "hair of the dog" pint.

Then down to denmark st....nothing really caught my eye...roka's still has the best ibanez selection, but as with all the shops is a bit pricey.

We bumped into the wipeout types as well, then i had to shoot off to meet simon and sort myself out for the evenings drinking.

Then it was back to the fox (paul and Mark there again!) along with he wipeout guys and James (our newest jemsite star!!!! good luck in russia!) appearing later on.

Plenty of beer and music chat, and then off to garlic and shots. In a strange twist of common sense, we sat down for food rather than going on loads of bloodshots.

After food, the previous night kicked in and myself and simon went for an early ish night - leaving the rest to get up to whatever - i'm sure they will fill in the details....

SATURDAY

the early night pays off and i am surprisingly hangover free. We trip over to husky and get set up; lots of widdling ensues, along with some sterling drumming efforts from Ving, James, Salem and some welsh dude.

I think everyone hates Simon now as his blue swirl is GORGEOUS!!!!!

There were a great selection of guitars there, (amonst others) mark with his VBSL, Paulo's VWH, Ade's swirl, Clive's BBQ, my DY (now officially a new model - the "dirty yellow"), Simon's BFP and ving with his washburns!!!!

Some very impressive playing ensued, along with lots of false starts as we tried to play the whole of the "lean into it" album (Paul and Clive - you guys rule at this!!!).

Then it was back to simon's for food, tea, beer, monty python and some well needed rest.

I had a fab time this weekend - it was a pleasure to meet the new guys (mark, ving, dex, salem, globbits, dave...think that's all)....and just as fab to see the old faces (simon, paul, clive, ade, wipeout, james).

Lets do it again soon!!!!!

Pete
