Well, another Musikmesse 2006 has passed by alot things to see and alot of sounds to hear. This year wasn't as good as last year though. More and more chinese, korean etc. companies are part of the messe. It won't be long until they can fill their own hall completely. Now for the different booths
Fender : Same as last year and the year before and.... well it's Fender.
Jackson : A joke really in IMHO a few Dinky's and flying V's but no sig models as what I had hoped for a PC-1

. There was a nice arch top though.
Charvel : Again the EVH models were on display. This time you could touch them and play with them last year they were in a case.
ESP : Nothing really interesting except for the Carpenter sig. (love those Horizon models).
Ibanez : Same guitars as at NAMM almost a few S series were missing but an additional limited S-series was shown with a
quilted maple top (forgot the model number though, have a pic). The JEM7BRMR needed a good wipe down.
PRS : Beautiful guitars simply but none with in emerald green WTF!!!
Peavey : Finally got a good look at the new version of the Wolfgang, i.e. the HP special.
Carvin : One of the few companies with a lefty model on display with the exception of Fender

. I think this will be my next guitar. I was rather surprised on how fat their necks are?
Godin : Really nice guitars.
Siggi Braun : Again guitars to die for, if you like the shape.
Fernandes : Also a lefty model there but of course a model with no sustainer ROTF.
LAG : Also some real beauties there. I love their headstocks, hmm... should be getting one those???
Framus : A bit disappointed in their booth on the guitar side I had hoped for a bit more models on display.
Cort : Love that Neil Zaza sig. They really need to release a version with a trem.
Ernie Ball : Here came a big surprise to me at least. On display was Steve Morse 2k sig. but with a trem??????
Rainer Tausch : I was hoping to see some new models there, since he had to discontinue his Gibson copies.
Famous people : Well, at the Laney booth Christophe Godin and Mattias Eklundh were ripping it up as always and that's always nice to see

. At the Dean booth Batio showing his stuff and
Michael Schenker was signing autographs and looking alive for a change. At Warwick Jonas Hellborg was showing how great he really is. His sig. bass is horrible though from the way it looks

. Thomas Blug was also playing somewhere forgot at what booth but he can actually really shred on his 1961 strat

. Johnny Hiland was walking around at the PRS booth but I didn't get to see him play

. Also the bass player from SOAD was signing autographs of course there was a huge line.
Jemsite people : Our very own Ricky Garcia was ripping it up at the Blade guitars booth. Gitarrero was helping out at the Tausch booth.
I'll put some pics up I took later tonight some chinese companies didn't like me taking pics of their stuff, gee i wonder why

. If anybody else was there and has some more experience etc. to share post it.
Regards
André
