Re: North carolina jemsite members

I might be able to make this, I'd have to see once there's a date (hopefully a Saturday). I might bring my Carvin BB75, little PA and Alesis SR16 if everyone else is bringing guitars.

Basically what I need (besides my lovely bride's permission) is a place to crash where my car won't get broken into, and I can sleep off the get together before driving back up to Joisey It looks like about 6 hours each way for me, give or take. I'd drive 6 hours to buy Kev a beer

Oh, and if this is in a dry county I can't make it, I'll have a cold or something LOL

Question

Re: North carolina jemsite members

If we have it at the local Shrine club (which is a refurbished piggly wiggly w/lounge/stage/tons of room) Liqour is allowed...
everyone would have tons of room, tables, chairs, etc. etc. parking too.
A small p.a would be nice.

I have 3 cabs we could use....so everyone bringing heads would be set.
there are several Motels and hotels nearby right off of the interstate.

yea, if it's a success i'll buy everyone a round.

and it will be a saturday
late april/early may.... what works for yall.?

This looks like it is shaping up already!

I knew if beer was mentioned it would start moving much faster

Re: North carolina jemsite members

This thread reminded me that I had to edit my profile location.

I am back in North Cackalackee, later this spring I will be working in PA. I think this is a great idea and I'm interested in attending.

But all of us have busy lives and it will be tough to pull off. My biggest motivation for attending would be to actually meet some folks. The internet is good for some things but it can't compete with in-person interaction.

Re: North carolina jemsite members

My wife says a non-Memorial Day Saturday in May wouldn't be a problem But I agree with the just hanging out and meeting angle being the primary point for getting together. I think a decent stereo and a pool table may end up getting more attention than the guitars and amps

Then we can have it down here at my buddy Matt's house! But then it will probably involve a lot of beer and liquor...

J/K, I know that's way too far for anyone to drive.

Re: North carolina jemsite members

Whereabouts are we talking about again? I may as well start looking at mapquest for hotel/motels and such. If we are going to be setting up amps and such, and playing (and drinking) packing up and getting back to wherever we're crashing is a thought. Distance and cab availability and that sort of thing will determine if I bring my VWH or a car full of PA and synths and drum machine and other assorted 'play along with' toys.

Re: North carolina jemsite members

I'd go, but I'd only be willing to drive about 30 miles from here, so it'd have to be around the Raleigh area for me.
