North carolina jemsite members
Hey i was wondering if all the jemsite members would be interested in having a huge jam, meeting, or something like that?
I'd like to put a tentative time as o say........ april or may?
I don't know what would work for everyone here... i could get up with local clubs, venues, centers etc. if a large enough venue is needed.
please whether you'd be attending or not, give suggestions or friendly advice.
From north carolina please.
cuz it'd be nice to get together a group of cool guitarists together to jam,cit chat, cook?
haha

Re: North carolina jemsite members
I'm not from NC, but I travel a lot, and there's no tellin' where I'll be at any certain time, but I get up to VA quite a bit, and could probably throw a jam in NC with some notice.

Re: North carolina jemsite members
it'd be cool to get as many people from other states as possible, i live right off of interstate 40 and interstate 95 so as more people give notice a final destination might work itself out.
Putting it a few months from now should hopefully let everyone find a decent date.....
Maybe a southern jemsite convention haha

Re: North carolina jemsite members
You never know...
I've tried a few times to get together a "Guitar Enthusiast Meeting" and it's actually a little harder than it seems, but best of luck, and keep us posted. I know that if it's in driving distance of me, I'll at least give it a shot!

Re: North carolina jemsite members
I'm betting this becomes a hefty task.
However..... people will drive, swim, walk, run for guitars.
Jemsite guys and girls should be the ones with that little extra drive to jump on it.
I could probably get all the local guys, and some area luthiers if it was appropriate.
and possibly Clint Lowery from sevendust...possibly.
and if people need incentive... i could sponsor a raffle for those who show up
stuff like
-coolest guitar.
-neatest lick.
-furthest traveled.
-etc.etc.
winners getting, boss or maxon pedals.
and maybe one of my private guitars.... or a new Prestige or something.
lets get the ball rolling.

I'm in. I will have to make sure the scheduling works but I could bring the Darren Collection and a PRS or two.

Re: North carolina jemsite members
yes Like a Jemfest, but not limited to Jems..... but primarily Jemsite members with various guitars, amps, gear. We could have it like a get together, swap meet, jam thingy.
I'll bring a few cabs (celestion vintage 30, and greenback loaded) some combos (Prosonic,Koch,Bogner) so everyone wouldnt have to lug stuff, but they could bring their amp heads, guitars, pedals, etc.
I've already contacted the Local community center and they said noise wouldn't be a problem
.
And i'm located about 3 and a half maybe 4 hours south of dc on i-95

Twintone II
I'll probably have 5-10 great amps there if the interest gets up.

Re: North carolina jemsite members
Cool, I've got a regular Twintone. It's got some glorious cleans on it.
How do you like the Twintone II? I'd like to see how it compares to the Twintone. Do you use an OD pedal?

Re: North carolina jemsite members
I love the twintone and the twintoneII a local guy has the original and i liked it so well i decided to hunt for my own.... i found one about 40 miles away gently used for 1100usd.
It has a eminence custom 12 speaker.... eurotubes the 4 button footswitch.
It is what a Marshall wants to be imo. I use a maxon ts808 and a brian may red special pedal....into the front.... i really need to play the amp more but it's too small for my practices and the band thinks i should use my stack...but man, get a koch over 4 on the dial and wow!
you can try it if u make the trip for the festival.
any more recommendations on the setup for the fest.?

Re: North carolina jemsite members
I've been thinking of switching out the tubes and throwing a different speaker in mine, probably an Eminence of some sort. Not too wild about the Jensen in there now.
No ideas off the top of my head about the get together... I'll keep thinking
