Re: Yngwie Malmsteen UK in-store appearances anounced

Here's mine from G3 2003. Kind of funny. He's dedicated, to say the least.

That was Yngwie with an arrow to Steve. That's kind of cool.

http://www.fender.com/yngwie/english/
Doesn't seem hard to guess what Fender is planning here, is it?
I'd love one of these, as much if not more than an EVH replica...
But somehow, I doubt I could afford it...

Re: Yngwie Malmsteen UK in-store appearances anounced

Lemme guess! Lemme guess!

It will be a relic'ed creamy colored strat, with a maple neck, scalloped fretboard (also maple). Am I right? Am I right?

It will be priced for "malmsteen connoiseurs" and only 16 will be built. One for each letter of his name. Some would argue that the dot after the J should count for one, so let's say 17. I just couldn't think of anything to decide how many they're building.

I would certainly want one as well, over every other official relic'ed guitar. I could probably only afford a pickguard screw.

But I guess the EVH and now Malmsteen are no different

Re: Yngwie Malmsteen UK in-store appearances anounced

I met him at the Sheffield Carling Academy in the morning, I asked him for a pic and he just said 'You must be very quick... I have things to attend to', then walked off casually to the venue. Apparently he was talking to members of staff in 3rd person and calling himself 'Mr Malmsteen'.

Legend.

no pics were allowed at the necastle store.and he would only sign one item per person,to be fair though he did look a bit tired.
