The music centre/studio at my school was opened a couple of years ago by Noddy Holder (who used to be live, with the rest of slade, just down the road from one of my mates here in Wolvo).. it's our claim to fame

It wouldn't take that much to make a "recording studio" with a computer, a $200 sound card, and a cheap mixer.

It depends on what the school's idea of a recording studio is.

Oh, I talked to the dude today. I guess he's actually going for a high quality digital board. Of course, some people I know hate those boards. We'll see how it works out. Most of the money'll probably go towards egg cartons anyways!

cheers!

A high quality digital board would be nice, if it's a Yamaha O2R or O1V, or one of the Tascam units.

I like the Yamaha converters the best.

My friend has the O1V, with a Neumann 103 condenser, and it sounds amazing. Quite possibly the best recording I've ever done.
