Acid loop playback problem

I'm playing around with Acid (that sounds bad...) and I've got a problem with paying back some of my loops. When I "audition" some loops, they sound like total crap - like they're being played through a spring reverb or something. Not all of the loops do this, just some. Any suggestions?

yeah. ignore it.

what's happening is this; when you play back a loop, it's tempo-shifted to match the current project tempo. If the project tempo happens to be slower than the loop tempo, there's going to be a lot of digital artifacts introduced.

Check it this way- when you play the loop, it'll list the original loop key and tempo. using a blank project, set the project key and tempo to match that of the loop. It should play back flawlessly.
