Acid Pro Problems

I just started using Acid Pro 4.0. It is an awsome program. The problem I have is some samples I try to add to tracks have a weird vibrating sound to them. If I open up the same sample say with media player or anything else for that matter the sample sounds fine. On Acid pro it sounds weird.
It sounds like Acid pro can't read the file or something. I have other samples that sound fine.

Any Acid Pro Pro's out there?
Thanks

I use it a lot, and have never had that problem...weird. I'd try searching http://www.acidplanet.com for a help section where you can talk to someone.

weird "vibrating" sound... kinda choppy, maybe?

It sounds like Acid is tempo-stretching them Check the track properties to see what tempo acid thinks the track is. If this differs from the project tempo, then Acid is probably trying to adjust the sample to fit the tempo.

There's a number of ways to stop this... It's the default setup for loops and disc-based samples, i beliee, so for those you need to "reset" what it thinks the tempo is. You can do this in Sound Forge, or any other editor that lets you edit "Acidized" loops. It doesn't actually change the tempo, just the tempo that the loop tells Acid it is.

Funny thing is, I just had that problem myself and realized what was causing it and came back here to find out if I was just imagining reading about it

Check out a program called recycle by propellorheads (same guys as Reason)
You load a loop into it, it will identify and cut up the individual notes/hits (you can set the senstivity yourself) and then you can slow it down/speed it up with no stretching.
