amplitube problems

i'm using cooledit pro 2.1 and i'm using amplitube and i want to be able to just play through amplitube...but it won't allow me to open amplitube unless i have already recorded audio selected...

is this just this program or is there another program that i can just jam to with amplitube open and everything?

fill me in. I want to be able to play through amplitube and not record something down and then add in the effects...I want to have the effects right away. Let me know if you get what I'm saying, or if you understand what I'm asking.

thanks.

I don't have Cooledit, but I do run Amplitube through Cubase SX. I have to run Ampltube as a plug in ie it has to be regarded as an effect on an audio channel. I have low latency audio inputs so I can run it in real time-a truly great program. Are you running a cracked copy? The manual explains things better than I could!
If Cool edit supports VST you should be ok.
There is a stand alone version of amplitube which doesn't need a sequencer host.

could i use the standalone version in sequence with a recording program? And where could I get the downloaded version.

I'm not sure why, but I can't use amplitube in realtime with cooledit.

I wasnt even aware that cool edit supported VST plugins?

I thought this functionality only came with Audition v1.5? perhaps thats where your problem lies?

*just remembered... cool edit turned into adobe audition when adobe bought out syntrillium...

I would advise going to the IK Multimedia site and checking out the Amplitube page. You might feel compelled to buy the product you need.

the live amplitube version is only for mac, but u can use the plugin through a vst host which allows you to use plugins live (n-tracks is an example)
