Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Platinum EX

Nice long name

Anyway, I'm considering this to replace my SB Live! Platinum for gaming and occassional guitar recording + MIDI-keyboard use (I think my Live! is broken cause I don't get LiveDrive-connection panel to work anymore).

Any experience with this one, is it recommendable?

IMO, If you want to do any semi-serious audio work, stay away from Creative Labs. It's not that they're bad cards, but they're just not intended for pro audio.

Look into M-Audio, they are in the same price range.
