Cubase audio driver?

Hey everyone. I have a question. Right now my Cubase 5.1 VST on MacOS9.1 on my Imac runs with the standard Sound Manager driver. However I'd like to use an ASIO driver or something else because a latency of 30ms is too much for me to like. Also the sound stops after I recorded something and I need to restart Cubase before it works again. Since I don't like this.......how to fix this?
Any tips?

Re: Cubase audio driver?

Yup. And it worked fine before.

I tried reinstalling my system but my HD is giving me errors. I think it has nothing to do with Cubase but there might be something wrong with my computer.
I'm currently formatting it with only zeros. Hope that helps.........

Alright.....reformated harddrive using only zeros and reinstalled the system and reinstalled Cubase. Everything works again!

Now I just got one little problem left and that's the latency. I use an Imac with build-in soundcard. How can I get a lower latency?
