cubase question

Is there any way to apply an effect to just the left or right channel in cubase? I need to just make one side a bit louder (just by increasing the gain...I don't want/need to mess with a panning.)

Re: cubase question

I know you said you don't want to mess with panning but it's easy and I don't see any reason why not too.
You could always copy and paste the track into another channel. Pan one full left, one full right and then add whatever effects you want to each side.

Re: cubase question

I don't want to pan because it takes away volume from the right channel and increases the volume of the left channel...I just want to increase the volume of the left channel. And I'd rather not mess with a seperate track for each channel if at all possible.

Just create 2 new mono tracks. Drag the stereo file to the 2 mono tracks and apply gain.
