Digitech JamMan Help

Hi, I got the Digitech JamMan looper a while back, and I enjoyed it a lot. Recently today, I hooked it up to my computer using USB, and I wanted to save a Joe Satriani mp3 backing track to my JamMan on loop 17, so I created a LOOP17 folder and renamed backing track to LOOP (just as I should).

However, when I connected it back to my amp, the mp3 file did not play when I played loop 17. Does anyone know how to get those backing tracks to work? Do I have to convert to wav or something?
