Drum triggers?

Do you guys who use these drum pads play the drums or do you just play crappy on the trigger and then let the sequencer fix it up? I'm pulling my hair out trying to find the easiest method to record drum tracks. Rusty Cooley used an old DR-5 on some of his earlier tracks. He programmed it then ran each piece through it's own track. Cool idea, but still seems like a lot of work.

This has slowed down my recording time tremendously.

You might think about using looping software like Acid or Fruity Loops or something. You get studio recorded drums, and you just drag and drop different drum parts into your song. All styles are available, and it's really pretty easy to use.

Try Toontracks EZDrummer. I use it with Cubase, works great.

Yeah its the best drum software you can get.

about 7500 different drum loops, including fills, and time sigs like 6/8, 3/4 e.t.c.

It causes a lot of problems with cubase though, try using Steinberg Nuendo with it instead.
