Good video camera for recording. under 300$(USD)

Hey guys, I'm looking for a video camera/camcorder that can plug directly into my computer like a webcam and record onto the computer, or on the camera, but is very easily transfered to the computer. I'm using this record me playing guitar so it must record at a very high fps because my playing is unbelievably fast, hope you don't mind the conceitedness lol (I do not need anything for audio. Just video, because audio will be added in separately from a microphone to a recording device). What is the best video camera/camcorder out there for under 300$(USD)? Thanks!

Any miniDV camera should be able to work with your pc. Just make sure it has a firewire port on it so you can transfer the video to your pc.

Yeah I know any video camera will work hahaha. I'm looking for one you all think is exceptionally good for the price. Also, what is a firewire port?

The Panasonic PV-GS320 is the best for that price range (it's got a 3CCD lens, as opposed to the 1CCD found on other cameras in that range). I recently got one from BuyDig after doing about a month's worth of research.

Here's an example of the quality (Youtube obviously degrades it though):

Re: Good video camera for recording. under 300$(USD)

in all seriousness
all video cameras run at 29.97 frames per second.
(unless you have a 24p camera like the one above, and thats actually 23.97ND)
Or of course if you're in europe then its 25 fps.

for that amount of money, and the fact you are putting it into a computer anyway, just buy a webcam.

A CCD is the bit of the camcorder that converts light to the digital signal recorded to the tape. For example, 3 CCD's are better than 1 because each 1 of the 3 is used for an individual colour. A 1 CCD cam has to do all the work with the single CCD and therefore colours tend to be less sharp and vivid.

Are you being sarcastic? If you are, then I'm sorry, I didn't know what your career is.

I don't know why I typed 6 CCD. I meant 1 CCD.

You need to also look at the Shutter Speed of the camera to pick up movement...find one that has a High shutter speed.. standard is 1/60th of a second. Remember though the higher the shutter the more light needed to keep the video exposed properly.
