Splel porperly so taht poeple cna undrestand you. They're takin the p*** out ov you.

To answer your questions, I would get a decent computer & pro tools & a good audio interface. For a drum machine, I suggest EZ Drummer.

I'm far away of being a master in english (hey that's not my first language) but I think you should first think about going to school instead of recording stuff.

And like I told you pro tools is the best option.Editing in a computer is awesome and easy. Those recorders have dozens of tiny editing screens = HELL!

Re: guitar rig 3 or pro tools??

Get a desktop and go Pro Tools. Laptops have many downfalls which make them not good as the centre of a recording rig. They're fine if you just need to do some editing on a plane or something but if you're actually trying to record not so much.

If you want to record drums and get a good rock sound you would need the 003 rack Factory or 003 Factory. That would give you 8 mic pres but you could get away with just the 003 rack and 4 pres. The Mboxs give you at most 2 pres and that really just isn't all that useful.

you can also go with other daws like, sonar, cubase, reaper or protools m-powered and have more bang for the buck with the audio interface

No offence dude but there are a multitude of threads on this topic - as some have suggested try a little research, on here and via other sites.

I myself use Pro Tools and I am a big fan. Budget is a primary consideration for most and may determine your final choice.

Good Luck and get stuck in to that research!

Re: guitar rig 3 or pro tools??

Note that you can't just buy any computer and be install ProTools and the record straight away. Do some serious research before you buy the computer if you decide on ProTools - it's a picky. Or buy a Mac and save yourself the hassle with computers not working with ProTools. Again, if you go that route.

Most ProTools are sold with bundles of some sort. If you get one with Strike, then you'll get drums. And with the new ProTools 8 you get a mini version of Eleven. Good guitar sound at your fingertips.
