Ok, I don't know jack about all this but here it goes...
I've got a nice Dell P4 1.8 GHz, blah blah running Sonar 2 and using a Audiophile 24/96 card. When I monitor what I am actually recording, there is a very very noticable delay in what the PC is seeing and recording. This makes multi tracking impossible because I can't listen to the original track and play along in real time. It used to run just fine but all of the sudden it starts doing this. I'm afraid my kid may have messed with something and now I can't find the fix. I've tinkered with everything I can find within the soundcard settings and can't get it to go away.
Any clues???? If so, please explain them as if you were describing it to a two year old....I'm not fluent in this area at all.
