Help me out with recording!!!!! can't monitor!

hey I'm having a little trouble recording to my computer through my Vamp, I dun't know if its me or what, but when I record I can't monitor what I'm playing, no sound will come out of the speakers. But after I record I can playback what I've just recorded. What seems to be the problem? Can anyone help me out setup my pc?
Thanks

I plug my vamp straight into it!

Try going in through the line in, and not the mic in.

If you already are using the line in, then check your soundcard properties, and see what the playback level is for the line in. if it's at zero, then that would be causing a problem, too.
