Question

Home Recording

Hi all,
My son wants to use our computer to record his playing.
Nothing fancy , just wants to be able to make some of
the music thats in his head .( scary thought ;o)
Be able to record with backing tracks and such.
He wants a usb or firewire device to go through and
would like anyones advice on what to get.
We have a good computer with a Creative Labs Audigy2 ZS
( yes i know what most of you think of CL's hardware ,
but thats what we have to work with )
The computer is for gaming mostly.
Budget is a concern also.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
BillK

Re: Home Recording

Get a Tascam US-122 for $140 or so. It come with a program. I never got the program to work but got a cheap version of cakewalk and I am making pro sounding stuff now.
