Home Studio Monitors Help!

I am currently using home stereo speakers for my monitoring needs but would like to get dedicated monitors for my protools set up. Looking to spend around 150-200 pounds. Any recommendations?

I have these:

They're around 173 pounds in The Netherlands. I think they're great!

For the money, Behringer Truth near-field monitors sound really good too.

I had the KRK Rokit 5s for a few months...£200 used on the bay. I was really impressed. I've now gone Adam A7 but the KRKs Rokit5s, for the price, did a great job.

Yep Behringer for the win, as far as quality for money, and digital audio line in direct from your PC sound card if it has digital audio out, which im sure it does...

I don't know about the conversion but I've been pleased with my Yamaha HS50's and they were $300 on a sale at GC.

I have M-Audio BXa8 Deluxes and they are impressive. They blew everything else out of the water in terms of definition and sound quality.

Re: Home Studio Monitors Help!

Just picked up the Yamaha HS80's and they are amazingly clear. I'm hearing things in songs I never heard before plus they have enough bass that I don't need a subwoofer.

...sorry I can't stand that 'help with addictive drums' being at the top of the list - I keep mis reading it as 'addictive dreams'
