How do I connect the speakers?

sounds silly, but I just installed an echo mia card in my comp, and now there's no sound. The current speakers' cables don't fit the jacks on the back of the card, so currently they're running throught the ports that they used to (the standard ones). How do I go about setting this thing up?

You need to select the output on your mixing s/w as either to your soundblaster card ( or whatever you're running) or to your Mia's output, then from there to a mixer or preamp into a power amp into your monitors into your ears.

What audio sw are you running?
The echo stuff comes with a configuration disk too if I'm not mistaken.

it does- I'm running Cubasis and their own program called "Mia Console"

I've got the normal sound up and running by setting Windows XP settings back to the old card but I can't get any sound out of Cubasis.

BTW, do I need monitors going out, or will the computer's speakers do?

Your PC speakers will work. you need to profile them in cubasis and make them your main outs then.
Select the Sb as your output device and your mia inputs as your ins.

How do I go about doing that? (I know what you're saying, but I'm having a little trouble trying to figure out how to do it.)
