Logic Express help please !!!!!

Hi, I'm trying to create some backing tracks for some home jamming fun.

From the original song, I'm trying to remove sound from the centre of the track to remove the melody guitar for me to play over the top.

I used to have a Boss Micro BR that had a "centre cancel" function that would do this. My question is does anybody know how to do this in Logic?

Thanks for any help

Mark

Dude, I'm a basic Express user but not sure what you're trying to achieve. You're not gonna remove anything from the track completely unless it's on a separate audio track. EQing does take out a few frequencies and can quieten some sounds but that's about it. The centre cancel button on your Boss would be an EQ setting FAIK. Please give us more info and I'm sure me or my engineer will be able to help.
