m-audio 2496 or e-mu 0404, ur thoughts?
Well I think i'm down to just picking a good soundcard. I don't think my SB 5.1 live will go the job done very well for recording, plus I might be ditching it soon anyway. So I've pretty much decided on either the m audio 2496 or the e-mu 0404. I would like to hear from users of each if possible. Which do you prefer? I see the e-mu comes with lots of built in effects which I am not interested in, I already have better. Since the two cards cost the same and the e-mu has the effects crammed into does that take away from other parts of it? Since the 2496 doesn't have some of the extra stuff like that would it be better for just recording the signal i'll be sending? Also would spending twice as much on the delta 1010 make that much of a difference? I'm fine with 2 track ablity right now.
