PODxt Software?

I am thinking about purchasing the PODxt Live since it has gotten such great reviews from this board. I read awhile ago that you can download software after buying the thing, but I'm not quite sure (i.e. I don't remember) what it does. Is the software used for recording? If so, I would be in great shape. Any info helps. Thanks.

Re: PODxt Software?

the software is for editing on the computer screen versus the floor.

It allows you to get into all the deeper editing alot easier, also helps to manage presets etc if you want to move stuff around.

Re: PODxt Software?

The XT is far better than Boss on this thing. It works great! There's two programs; Monkey, and Edit. Monkey manages updates and so on, while Edit control the different patches. You can move them around, adjust them, and the just press "Sync", and your XT sync up with your software in just a few seconds. Works great!

There's also endless patches on the online library! Found some real good ones there. And you can buy all the modpacks in addition..!

I have it, and it works great! Used one to record my bands first full-length album! Check it out @ www.leprous.net! (prog rock/metal)

Re: PODxt Software?

The PODXT software is pretty cool. Its a lot clearer than viewing it on the pod itself, you can see your FX chain cleanly, and its obvious what all your settings are.

Its far easier than the Boss GT6, as that thing simply has too many parameters and takes a lot more tweaking to get a good sound.
