Presonus Firestudio

Hi fellas,

So I decided to take the plunge, and after searching for the best deal, I bought a Presonus Firestudio. The company that sold it to me threw in a faderport, 5 xlr cables for free and I get to mail-in a rebate for for a free msr direct from presonus. So, overall the deal wasn't bad for the regular price that sweetwater, gc or other places charge and this company is an authorized presonus dealer, so there's no issues with warranty, etc.

Now on to my question, does anyone here own or have used a Firestudio? I was torn between the Firestudio and the Firestudio Project but, I decided to go with the Firestudio (even though it's more expensive), because it'll allow me to have the flexibility of adding more inputs in the future if the situation calls for it.

If anyone here has any tips for usage and best practices, please let me know, as I'm going to attempt to use this unit to its full potential.

Jimmy

i'm running pro tools digi 002 rack and have that expanded to a presonus 8-port XLR unit for more simultaneous tracking. is that what you have? i love mine. it connects to the 002 unit via optical connection.

I'll snap a shot of it later when I get home, so you can see what I'm talking about shredmaster. I'm going to give the firestudio a nice test tomorrow and see what I can come up with sound wise from a recording standpoint.
