I use it. It's only 8-tracks, but it's great. Extremely useful, and the price is right. Lot's of features to help your stuff sound cleaner and more pro.

cool!
How long did it take to get you familiar with it?

I to have been using acid...
BTW: any problems dumping drum loops created in acid over to pro tools??

I noticed when i tried to import an existing acid file to PT, it wouldnt work.
said it wasnt a valid pro tools session file...

I'd recommend you use the render function in Acid to convert it to wave, then import it as a stereo track. And yeah, took me a bit to get the hang of it, and I'm still learning stuff, but it's very cool.

Have they released a new free version that will run on Windows XP or is it the old one that requires Win 9x?

It works fine on my computer, never had a problem! And about sounding more pro, I mean, better than recording straight to a tape live. I.e. reduce static, EQ it, a couple tricks to hide the horrible intonation of my acoustic a little.
