ProTools LE and (NI) Dynamo problem. Help needed).

Hi everybody,

I have a small problem. Since I bought the Radium Midi-controller and installed the software, I can't no longer send midi signals from ProTools LE to Dynamo. It all happned when I installed the USB software for Midiman RADIUM.

To my question: How do I trigger Native Instruments "DYNAMO" from the "ProTools LE" software? In other words, how do I send the midi signals from a MIDI-channel in Pro Tools LE to trigger DYNAMO?

I can get audio from DYNAMO to ProTools LE through Direct Connect.
I can also get midi signals from RADIUM into Pro Tools.
And I can get midi signals from RADIUM into Dynamo.
But I can't get any signals from a midi-channel in Pro Tools to Dynamo.

What am I doin wrong? What should I do to fix this problem?

I'm very thankful for a quick reply...

Best regards // Optimus

Hi! Since you mention DirectConnect, I am assuming Mac. I have no idea on a Mac, since MIDI is handled differently via OMS, or the new structure within OS-X. Have u tried asking or searching the Digidesign User COnference in the PT LE for Mac users section? Very helpful over there.

Hi! Ooops- stupid me! Forgot Direct Connect got dropped with PT6 and OS-X in favor of ReWire (pretty sure of that anyway!).

DirectConnect manual http://www.digidesign.com/support/do...onnect_v11.pdf
I browsed the manual to reaquaint myself, and remember playing with DirectConnect now. The IAC driver via OMS must be configured properly. Installing RADIUM might have "disrupted" the IAC configuration you had prior, or similar. Redoing the IAC thing maybe then. Since you are getting audio, I assume the "plug-in description file" for Dynamo is installed in the correct directory. Pages 5&6 of the linked manual above has those directions. If that doesn't solve it, a call to NI might help (good luck there! lol) or possibly a post on the NI forums http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?forum_us .
There is a Dynamo section there. Hope that helps. Nikki
