Right on Andrew
Took me a while before i realised that there's more to micing acoustic than sticking it in front of the soundhole

and hoping for bst
I also find that when recording finger style place (i too use NT1 btw) if i'm doing it in mono I put teh mike about 40 cm away from the guitar at the higher point of the nect so you capture less of the bass and more brightness off the strings instead of the boomyness of the sundhowle.
Also if you have another mic try recording it in stereo that also does TONS to opening up the sonud. If you dont have another mic you can fake this by double tracking it and panning left/right that gives a wicked acoustic sound. Or if thats too overpowering and you dont need THAT much acoustic in your mix just track adding a stereo reverb effect to the mono sound.
Hope it helps
