Similar Program to GarageBand

Is there any program out there that is remotely similar to Garage Band for the PC? Like the ease of use and versatility?

OR you could go and download CoolEdit... itīs what they called the program while syntrillium made it... adobe then bought it, altered it alot and out came adobe audition...

so since syntrilium cooledit is no longer being made at all, i think itīs fair to call it Abandonware? the look of the program is pretty different too after adobeīs redesign...

if you're cheap like me you can use Audacity... it's not as robust as Garage Band or anything but it's free!

Re: Similar Program to GarageBand

iīm still hot on the adobe audition :P

also, Logic, but itīs for mac... but itīs the program that garageband was molded from... garageband is like the kindergarden version of logic... i prefer garageband though, because itīs all cosy, and makes me make things... brings out the creativity, being so simple :P you just use other plugins for effects :P

You could also try Reaper which is fantastic for a freebie/shareware.

You can find it at http://www.****os.com/reaper/ ( that is www. c o c k o s.com without the spaces - I didn't realise it would remove that chunk of the URL) - it used to be totally free up to version 100 but now is shareware and, while it does not expire ever, will give you a 30day fully functional trial. Very regularly update with features and fixes and knocks the socks off (the very good) Audacity (which I also use sometimes).
