SoundCard question: Headphone Monitoring

OK, I have a killer PC and all my recording stuff is via an Audiophile 24/96 soundcard. I also have a SoundBlaster LIVE card in there as well. When I am running my rack through my PC for recording, I can monitor via monitors no problem, they are running directly out of my soundcard analog outputs. But if I plug my headphones into the front of my PC, I get squat. How can I switch it so that my headphone out is reading from my Audiophile card and not my SoundBlaster card??? Or is something else going on?

Make sure that you have the IN set to the Audiophile, and the out/playback set to the SBLive card.

What I plan on doing is getting a headphone distribution rackmount piece, and running my monitors and headphones out of them, my breakout box IN to it, and just turning off the channel that the monitors are on when I want to record.

Kind of mickey-mouse, but in my experience it's hard to get "real" monitored sound out of an inexpensive PC sound card..

That makes total sense, thanks for the injection of common sense...I feel stupid now.
