Thoughts on using a cubicle as recording station?

Cubicles seems to me tobe ideal for setting up as a place to set up all your recording equipment in.

They have power to the bottoms and holes to rout wires under the tables and lots of desk space to organize things.

Has anyone used cubicles to do this? I am looking for a used cubicle to try my ideal out now...

ew

Im with you dude... cubicles?! methinks not...

Just get a nice simple (but BIG) workbench, drill some holes in it, get yourself a comfy leather chair... and some good speakers, and then kit yourself out as you see fit... you'll need lots of space, and youll need to be comfortable to get anything done efficiently.

Ill stick to my nice lil log cabin ... getting a new mackie desk soon too, must get back to the recording side of things!

is there a page where people can post images of thier studios, im quite proud of mine... (although its not finished yet!)

Well, cubes arent even that cheap to begin with, even used would prolly be expensive, and I wouldnt like the idea of leaving my cube at work for a cube at home either

But hey, what ever floats your boat!

Just a thought since they do have alot of good qualities.

1. Baffles some sound from the inside.

2. Lots of electrical outlets and ways to organize them.

3. lots of desk space and flexable arrangement of space.

4. Lots of storage spaces with the shelves and such.

5. built in lights.

6. wall area to hang planners and such.
