Which Interface/Software is Better....

I'm a first time buyer and don't want to spend much. Which is a better unit and software:

Lexicon Lambda (comes with cube base le and reverb VST plug-in)

OR

Line 6 UX1 (POD farm)

Both are 150.00

How about the software it comes with? Do you have to by more software to record? And will I need to buy a soundcard? My computer is a year old and has a sound card but I don't know what kind.

Re: Which Interface/Software is Better....

you get the gearbox software with it and it's not bad, but there are much better programmes out there, guitar rig, amplitube etc. I record using reaper, which is free and guitar rig 3 as the plug in. The sound card doesn't really matter if you record with headphones through the ux1 as your output device. You can then playback through your pc's speakers with very little to no latency.
