Hey,

I am newbie at wiring pickups. Im not sure where the wires go. ive tried a couple times and can get the pickup to work but get horrible grounding noise . The pickup is a Ibanez v8.It has red, white and barre wires. im not sure what the wires are i think that red is hot and barre is ground but I'm not sure what white is for. any who, just wondering if someone could help me out.

whites hot bare is ground and electrical tape the end of the red one as its the coil link
