2 way on/on for coil tap

ça marche?

Red and white to top left, ground to bottom left. Black to middle, which is connected to other side. Using a Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon. Do they even sound any good split?

Re: 2 way on/on for coil tap

I guess I'm not sure what the question is here, but in any event, that is not the correct diagram for a coil tap. The "jack" wire should not be there at all. Rather, connect red and white to the middle left and ground to the top left. Leave the bottom left and the entire right side unconnected. That's it.

Re: 2 way on/on for coil tap

Okay sorry, the wire on the right doesn't go to the jack, but to the pickup selector.

I want to split the coils of my bridge humbucker and be able to select the inner single using a 2-way mini toggle before the pickup selector.

Re: 2 way on/on for coil tap

all you need to do in order to split the coils is ground the red and white wires. connect them to the mini switch, and connect the mini switch to ground. the pickup selector switch doesnt wire to this mini switch at all.
go here:
http://www.guitar-repairs.co.uk/guit...ications_2.htm

scroll down to #2. A and B on the switch would be your red and white wires. red and white from one pickup to A, red and white from the other pickup to B.
