5 Way Switch Schematic Diagram - Get it Here

Guys,

I have started this as a new thread to give it some visibility.

I have been looking for a schematic diagram for a simple (YM-50 type) selector switch and had real problems finding one. I looked on a number of guitar & pick up forums and found many people searchnig for the same thing, many wiring diagrams and many conjectures about how the thing works.

However, if you are like me - you just want a schematic of the switch so that you can figure it out for yourself and then wire up your guitar with confidence.

Getting to the point - I have buzzed out the switch and created a diagram showing the internal connections made in each position. It's simple and easy to understand.

I am trying to find out how to post it on this site for download. But in the meantime - if you need this - send me a message and I will e-mail it to you. It's in pdf and MS Word (doc) format.

Can't wait to see it. I have a yamaha rg wannabe that I'm planning on swapping out the pickups and hopefully retrofitting an original edge with. If I can learn how to solder, then I'll put the pups myself.

Dimarzios website has a jem schematic on it in pdf format as well as a complete discussion on turning pickups certain ways to achieve strat quack or tele punch. I found it under the tone zone product info page.
