6 string blaze?

I pretty much decided on the blaze for a guitar i'm gonna build later this year (if my schedule at school works out), but then I realized how much easier (and cheaper) it would be to build a 6 as opposed to a 7. I don't belive the blaze comes in a 6, so whats a good pickup similar to the blaze for a six? Scooped mids kinda feel, modern rock/nu-metal sounding...Ive got a flextone III by the way (great amp) and leave it on the triple rectifier model with the gain at 10.

ive been hearing the steves special...is that a good match?

Yes. The Steve's Special and Blaze bridge are basically the same pickups.

Grindfiend hit the nail on the head. Steve's Special is exactly what you want.

Also the DiMarzio "Megadrive", which "Steve's Special" replaced. Output 350mv; Treble=6 Middle=5 Lows=7; 15.03k ohms resistance. You can still order the Megadrive from DiMarzio even though they don't advertise it anymore. It looks like the new "Dropsonic" with one coil looking like an X2N blade and the other with pole pieces.
