af207 7 string pickups in a uv/RG7?

i was just thinkin how cool and classy covered pickups look i was thinking why i couldnt have them. so i was lookin through my ibanez catalog and glanced at the af207bs . and BAM! it hit me like a ton o bricks. that thing has a friggin blaze pickup, but its not the open coil like the other seven string pickups. now, i havent really thought this out how they would look, but is it possible to rig a couple of these up in the other 7s?

That's a pretty cool idea man...
But I don't know that you can buy the pickups themselves. (I don't see why not, but cool things like this always have a snag...lol)
If you do it, post some pix. Sounds cool.

i mean, if i called up dimarzio and said i needed some would they turn me down? u can buy regular blaze pickups, its not like they are the new/custom 7 where ur not supposed to get them.

I guess the question is who supplied the metal covers: Ibanez or DiMarzio?

That's what I'm getting at...DiMarzio doesn't offer covered pickups in any 7-stg configuration. So I'd imagine that Ibanez would have someone outside with them. This is a totally new idea to me...maybe I'll call around and see what I can see...
