Aha ha ha haaa! sorted (finally) Ibanez HH wiring.

Lots of people have asked if you can replace the 5 way switch in a HH RG for a normal five way. I can finally after a lot of research (and buying an RG7620 ) say no and why!
The Ibanez switch SC/2502W is completely non standard! I have a schematic here:

This was determined by looking at the tracks from the back of the switch through the PCB.
The logic of the connections is this:

Pos 1 A -> D
Pos 2 A+B -> D, W+X -> Z
Pos 3 A+C -> D, Y -> Z
Pos 4 B+C -> D, X ->Z
Pos 5 C -> D, Y -> Z

Phew!

I've checked against the schematic for RG1527 from the Ibanez site and The schematic is correct with this switch, It gives:

Pos 1 Bridge HB (2 Coils Series)
Pos 2 Inside Coils Parallel
Pos 3 Neck HB and Bridge HB Parallel
Pos 4 Neck 2 Coils Parallel
Pos 5 Neck HB (2 Coils Series)

Blimey!
The only way you can replace this switch with something off-the-shelf would be to get a 5-way 4 pole megaswitch (same as Ibanez VLX91).

this is true.
i usually will order these switches from my ibanez dealer if i need to replace. although i end up pulling these and going for the 4 pole super switch from fender and do a custom wiring schematic for a 2 hum axe.

Hi there - I'm new here so if this is in the wrong place let me know!

I've been trying to figure this out for myself but my brain is exploding. I finally realised the 5-way is not a normal 5-way and so I found this page... but I'm still confused. Bascially I've got an RG321 and a mate gave me a V7 and V8 from an older RG. I want to wire them up in the following config:

http://img381.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pickupshp3.jpg

The problem is that 1.) the RG321 has 4-core humbuckers while the Vs are 2-core, and that 2.) the RG321's wiring config is totally different to what I want anyway. Is there anyone who could help me figure this one out?
