air norton lack of sustain

...well the problem that the air norton i have in the neck position of my s1625 lacks totally of sustain and power. in the bridge i have an evo2 which works perfect.
the air norton ofcourse does not has the output but on the other hand lacks of balls and totally of sustain.
i wired it in the same way like the previous pup (qm1).
should i use as an output wire the green one?
what do u think guys?

Re: air norton lack of sustain

Reversing the pup will not make much of a difference. As far as i know the wire colors from Domarzio and the IBZ are different. The wires should be on the opposite site of the controls, so toward you, for the neck PU. Have you looked at the DiMArzio Wiring plans?

Is Pickup to low??

Re: air norton lack of sustain

well i just reversed and there is an improvement (the screws are from the neck side)
i ques that the qm colors are the same with the dimarzio, because the evo2 in the bridge works and sounds great.
on the other hand as far as the distance conserns, i highered the pup and an improvement achieved.
there is a problem especially at the high e string. so i think that i should higher and flat more the high strings in order to adjust better the distance of the pup.

Well the green wire shouldn't be used as the primary output (hot) lead. That should be the red.

Re: air norton lack of sustain

yes you have right i re-solded the wires of the air norton using a schematic of an ibanez with duncans (changing the colors with the dimarzio's) and the air norton kicks....
