depends on how yours using it. Both are completely different animals, the Air Norton is fat, smooth and punchy/articulate. Nice for jazz and even with distortion for sweet neck tones. The Evolution is hot, less fat but still packs a punch, and less smooth with more sizzle to it. Good for soloing in the neck with lots of harmonics and overtones. What are you gunna use it for? Metal? Blues? Jazz? Country?

PafJoe :-) .... No i am not being awkward (for once), The Air Norton is a fantastic pickup, But i would put the Air Classic and PafJoe above it (which by the way is an odd but sweet combo)

The Evo i see labelled all the time as a one trick pony, But if you roll the treble back, and the vol back a touch you'll be surprised and the differance in tone/attack and smoothness ... Not attacking you all, but i doubt too many use both the Vol and Tone as a means of getting a differant sound (apologies if you do and still think the Evo is a one trick pony)

Just my tuppence (that as in 2p not the rude thing)

not rude at all. just sayin the Evo has more sizzle and dirt to it than the Air Norton. Roll the tone knob back on the Evo and yea you'll get a smoother sound, roll the tone knob back on the Air Norton and you'll get....an even smoother air norton. not sayin the Evo is a 1 trick pony, just sayin it's got more sizzle that's all.

Kudos for your non-threatening opinion.

Air Norton, Evo, Breed, Super 2; they´re all fine.
I´d get the Air Norton or the Breed (neck model).

I had an Air Norton and I have a Breed in the neck. I liked the Air Norton better but alas I sold it before I could switch them.
