Thanks. I had no idea a pickup makers website would have theyre color chart wrong. But I did finally get the correct info but it proly costed me a few gray hairs along the way

Hey Freak!!!

Looks like the switch I had on an old Kramer.
Also looks to have the right lugs for your request.
Try to wire it with an Ibbie diagram.

UPDATE as of 12.27.12 Im really starting to suspect a faulty 3 way switch now. Because if I hook the dimarzio up direct it works, if I hook it to the switch it doesnt work,unless I keep wiggling wires. everythings soldered good.It MAY be the lug on the switch has been damaged inside due to me soldering to the damn thing so many times .its an old switch. Maybe inside where the lug connects may be damaged from the heat of the gun somehow. Thats all I can figure because the pickup works fine hooked directly up, yet wont when hooked to the swicth .........yet Middle position & other position(the one that has the motherbucker hooked to it) works just fine.

Try another switch--they're fairly inexpensive.
First rule of troubleshooting--swap out the least expensive components...lol

Do you have to have a 3-way?
You could do a 5-way....and a multiple at that!

Im gona stick with the 3 way. And yeh, that motherbucker was a real motherbucker to figure out. I kept going back over & over tracing down wires making sure they match the Schematics. then.......start over. wisth doing it inbetween work at home when i had time to get into it .....it was nearly a month before i could finally say "oh yeaah" matter of fact I just finished playing that guitar about 10 minutes ago because the tone is so different than what im used to. Barely have the gain on 2 barely & the strings are so sensitive to the pic, yet the sound is big & clean. Only drawback ....if it is a drawback is ...... ya dont wanna load up the gain Too much cuz these things are Strong & you get a tight strong bite depending on how hard or soft you pick the string. I find myself having a much cleaner,heavier sound & using less distortion at the same time. Im very happy with it . Currently its my favorite pickup,even over the X2N & that WAS my all time favorite. anyway back to the switch ....when i get the switch I wil replace it & hopefully that solves the issue.

Hello folks,

I'm currently wiring a Fernandes Sustainer FSK101 in my Jem70v, it comes with that regular 5-way switch from Ibanez, not the VLX91, the standard Indo stuff.

I'm having some doubts about wiring the switch.

My Jem's wiring looks like this:


But the sustainer's wiring is like this:



The wiring in the switch doesn't look much like the original wiring, and it doesnt make much sense.
Can you please give some hints about it?
