Just put a pair of Virtual PAF's in the
Les Paul. They almost sound like the guitar has been mic'd, for lack of a better explanation, but the amp still affects the sound, if that makes any sense. Very natural, as someone stated. They will rock with a
high gain amp, but will clean up very well when the guitar's vol is rolled back. Still experimenting around with them, but I really like them so far. I've got 4 push/pull pots. The volumes each split their respective pickup to single coil, the bridge tone throws the pups out of phase, the neck tone goes from seried to parallel. Lots of sounds available, most are usable! These pickups are good, I'll have them on this guitar for a while. (Sorry, that last sentence sounded straight out of Harm. Ctrl. gear review!)
