For the SD invader it's probably worth noting they have out a invader neck model with lowered output, and tonally it's probably right up your alley if you're after a thick powerfull fat lead tone.
An invader bridge in the neck, esp in a mahogany guitar would be overkill, and personally I would be looking at something to clean up the neck a little bit.
A nice low output clean pickup will sound great with the gain up, where's a high
output pickup is more likely to muddy up.
