I wanted that one in the classifieds! I tried one once for about an hour. I bought it at a store as new old stock because I was selling a guitar to someone who liked them. So I bought it to install it for the buyer. Man was I upset when I heard it and loved it! It's really an "overall" sound. It has clarity, but the highs are tapered down so that in a floyd guitar it doesn't sound thin. It's almost in the tonal range of a Tone Zone, Super Distortion, or Duncan Custom Custom if I remember correctly. There was a smoothness to the dynamics that I liked. I don't know how to put it but there was something that was just "right" about it for a floyd guitar. The lows and mids weren't too pronounced to be overbearing, but they were very strong. Obviously I didn't come across any used ones since otherwise I would've gotten another one. I snoozed on the one in the classifieds, so if you don't like it, I'll trade you something of mine for it.

thanks and be assured if for some reason i do not like it i will let you know first!
I am hoping it is very tonally balanced like in between a JB and custom by duncan?

It won't have the scream that the JB has, but it should have the warmth and power that the Custom has. The resonant peak is the point on a frequency response graph where the pickup is the strongest. On all the typical humbuckers its between 5-7khz but on the Trembuckers it's lower. That can be deceiving because pickups have secondary peaks, and it doesn't show "how much" higher the peak is than the rest of the response. You can have a high and lonesome "mountain" peak around 5khz on one pickup, and it will sound brighter than one that peaks at 6.5khz but in sort of a mild hill shape. The lower peak on the Trembuckers is exactly what floyd guitars are needing, though. Acoustically a floyd style trem guitar will have more 6-7khz than the same guitar with a hardtail or strat trem, and less 3-5khz. I think you'll really like it.
