Anyone installed EMGs before, or know anything about them?

Hey guys, just a quick question.

I'm getting an HSS set of EMGs, pictured below, to put in my MusicMan. Can I use the regular pots etc already in there, or do I have to use EMG pots or something? Any additional room required in the pickguard?...?

Basically, if there's anything I nedd to know, help would be truly appreciated!

And wiring diagrams would be great!

Thanks.

Dan

Hey
for the EMGs, you have to use 25k pots and a stereo guitar 14/ input, also it seems you have the battery holder, so if you want to use that, you may have to route a battery cavity in the back of the guitar for it.

I just tape my batteries to under the pickguard since I don't want to route the back for a battery holder, but it is very helpful.

Good luck.

Oh, and wiring diagrams you can get from EMGs website.

Cool. My MMs already got the battery holder routed out for its 'silent circuit', so that's OK. Any links to where I can get these pots etc? And yes, I know that sounds lazy but I'd rather go on advice from someone with a little experience!

Oh, thats great, so it propably will be a "drop in"
I get my EMG stuff from guitarpartsdepot . com

Well, I can only say the diagrams on EMG site are very easy and simple to follow, and thats where most of us who use EMGs go to for reference.
