Re: Anyone tried Q-Tuner pickups?

I was asking the same thing a few months back. Search the forum for threads and you'll find a few. No one seems to really know about them. The problem is there's no sound clips on the Internet apart from some crappy single coil kinda sounding ones. It'd be nice to hear how the GL sounds through a good amp. I'd like to buy some, but I wouldn't have a clue what sound I'd end up with.

Re: Anyone tried Q-Tuner pickups?

There are a number of options. The highest output humbucker-size Q-Tuners are the GL Super High-Z. They also do Medium-Z, and High-Z.

Sustain is apparently great. They are also noisless. Only thing they aren't, is "vintage", and this is where people will be put off somewhat. As I said, what's needed is some sound clips, preferably done by someone who's playing we are familiar with. Cause if Steve Vai was rocking these, you bet they'd sell, right?

I think they're probably amazing. I just can't afford to take the risk in case they are not!

I've heard high gain clips of their single coils. They sounded pretty good, but were really bright. I want to hear what some humbuckers sound like.

Is this site a joke? After reading for 15 minutes I still have no idea what exactly they are selling, and I feel like I've come off a strange trip. The only thing missing is talk of Xenu.

It's quite simple. I didn't have a problem with the site.

Come on man, you guys are being harsh. Erno (the guy who makes the pickups) is a very nice, friendly and intelligent person. I am pretty sure he knows exactly what he's talking about, it's not bull**** and waffle at all.
